I couldn't wait to announce this very exciting new licensing partnership with one of my go-to vendors for years now, Creative Branch!
It has been a long time dream of mine to get into product design, and partnering with trusted trade vendors, so when Blaine Stacy of Creative Branch approached me with this amazing opportunity, it was an immediate yes!
Creative Branch is known by designers and consumers alike in the Houston area for their high quality faux floral arrangements, trees, greenery and green walls.
Creative Branch, now owned by Trey Holm and Carolyn Watson, began operations more than 28 years ago and has grown each year due to their wonderfully talented staff and commitment to producing high quality, realistic botanicals. Visiting their showroom in Houston is a colorful treat, and always buzzing with activity.
I use something of theirs in almost every project, so this partnership feels like I am working with family!
The owners, along with Blaine, were interested in working with me because of my colorful interiors. They were so open to my ideas and allowed me creative freedom as we developed this line of faux botanical arrangements and trees.
About the collection
I wanted to create a collection that reminded me of growing up around the lush, tropical and colorful landscape of my hometown in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
The 30 piece collection includes a lot of fresh and vibrant color, nature-inspired texture and effortless charm, similar to the inspiring designs I create for my clients.
Each arrangement exudes the feeling of freshly cut flowers right from the garden, with some exotic pieces mixed in. The containers themselves were carefully chosen to add charm, whimsy and a sense of effortless luxury that will work in any room of your home.
It is truly exciting to partner with a powerhouse like Creative Branch, who are known for their life-like faux botanicals, greenery and green walls to bring this collection to life.
Each piece is thoughtfully designed by me and expertly crafted by Creative Branch's amazingly talented team, and will create a beautifully organic feel in your home.
I wanted the arrangements to be effortless and look as if the florals and greenery were clipped right from your backyard and arranged beautifully. I also wanted to hint at my colorful Jamaican upbringing, and so we sought to include fresh color and some exotic, tropical inspired flowers.
I set out to work selecting the right pieces from their amazing inventory and worked with the floral team to get them just right. Not only are the florals and greenery beautiful, but the hand-selected containers complement them so well. I wanted to include baskets, blue and white chinoiserie jars, glass, ceramic and ,metal containers in shades of gold and pewter.
My goal for each piece was to be natural-looking, hand-picked, gorgeously arranged, luxurious yet effortless - just like you would see in my own design work.
I also wanted to Include several water-likes (acrylic) in clear glass containers for some simplicity.
